Social Wellness Group Meetups

Connect with others on your wellness journey. Our groups meet weekly for activities, discussions, and support. Building friendships while staying active makes all the difference.

Why Groups Matter

Wellness isn't just about exercise — it's about feeling connected. When you're part of a group, you're not alone on your health journey. We've seen it happen countless times. Someone walks in nervous about joining, and within a few weeks they're bringing a friend.

Our social wellness meetups combine movement, conversation, and genuine friendship. We're not running a gym. We're building a community where people actually look forward to seeing each other. That matters more than you'd think.

What We Offer

Different groups, same friendly approach. Pick what fits your schedule and interests.

Water Walking Groups

Meets Monday and Thursday mornings at 9am. Shallow end only, fully supported. People come for the exercise, stay for the conversations. Average group size is about 12-15.

Outdoor Walking Clubs

We explore different neighborhoods and parks. Wednesday and Saturday mornings, 7-8 miles depending on the route. Pace is leisurely — we stop for water breaks and just chat.

Wellness Check-In Circles

Tuesday evenings, smaller group format. We talk about what's working, what's challenging, share recipes and resources. These are intimate conversations in a safe space.

Nutrition & Cooking Meetups

First Saturday of each month. We prepare healthy recipes together, share meal prep tips, and eat together. Everyone leaves with real recipes they can actually make at home.

Health Education Seminars

Monthly topics like sleep quality, joint health, energy management. Guest speakers who actually answer questions. We keep them practical, not overwhelming.

Social Connection Events

Movie nights, game afternoons, museum visits. Low-key activities where the point is being together. We've had groups become genuinely close friends.

The Real Benefits

You'll notice changes pretty quickly. Not just physical — though that happens too. Most people tell us they sleep better within a month. That's real.

We've had people tell us their groups became their closest friendships. One woman mentioned that the group probably saved her life — not because of the exercise, but because the connection gave her reasons to keep going through a rough time. That's the part you don't predict when you sign up.

Real People, Real Stories

"I wasn't going to join anything. Honestly thought I'd feel out of place. But the first group I showed up to, someone just grabbed my arm and walked me in. Now I've been going for eight months and these are legitimately my best friends."

— Patricia, 58

"The water walking group's been huge for my knees. But what really got me hooked was that everyone asks how you're doing — not just 'hi,' but actually wants to know. You can't skip because your friends will text asking where you were."

— Marcus, 62

"I'm more active now than I've been in years, and it's because I'm not doing it alone. Plus the nutrition seminars taught me I don't have to eat boring food to eat healthy. These groups changed how I think about aging."

— Jennifer, 55
